Two Weekends, Four Races

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

The past two weekends saw me traveling to two completely new tracks. First was Homestead-Miami Speeway. I have plenty of expreience at the karting track, but the car track was completely new for me! Unfortunately, I was plagued with engine overheating issues on Saturday which meant I wasn't able to complete the race. On the good side, I finished over half the race so I procured 5th place points in the race. On Sunday, I came out strong with a 2nd place performance, only one tenth of a second behind the national champion Cliff White.

The second race brought me to Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah, Georgia. The track is very fast which means I only had to use 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. On Saturday, I was on old worn out tires and managed a solid 2nd place, six tenths of a second behind the winner. With new tires on for Sunday, I was able to qualify on pole and beat the entire field by over 30 seconds in the race to take my first major victory in the Gen 3 Spec Racer Ford! A good two weeks of racing saw me accumulate three podiums and a priceless amount of racing experience! My next focus is the 2015 SCCA Run-Offs at Daytona in September! I can't thank Prism Motorsports and all the SCCA volunteer workers for all their hard work! I would also like to thank everyone from the Prism Motorsports team, my friends, and my family for all the support! I couldn't be where I am without all these people!
